Vista-fied

So, one of the benefits of being at a Ginormous company is that I get to play with software and hardware before it gets mainstreamed.  Certainly getting a beta three months before primetime isn’t super glossy at all.  Never-the-less, I eagerly installed my Vista Beta 2 DVD today on the kick/pain-o-top.  Er, yesterday now that it’s way late. 

First impressions :  Mac on PC.  Perhaps a bit smoother animations (I’m sure Mac people will hate me for saying that)

Second impressions:  What the crap happened to my sound card?

Third impressions:  Seriously, do you know how useless a laptop is without a sound card?  You can’t use backwards compatible drivers like XP could either, so I’m kinda screwed.
