Today I got a new chair at work. It is bold red and charcoal. Esthetically speaking, it is the bully that beat the crap out of my old “teal-holy-crap-is-that-a-coffee-stain-or-something-else” chair. It is ergonomic, which is awesome, because my previous chair was a step above cinderblocks and a tarp. That’s about it. Oh yeah – on deck is [...] OK, so this last week I went to Houston TX on a work / road trip. EK has family in Texas that she wanted to stay with and I was already going – so we figured we’d drive. We learned several things on this trip: #1 – Silence from the almost 3 year old who [...] Yesterday a group of us Network guys were stopped by the dancing Greenpeace chick. Usually we manage to duck the street vendors / sales people but this time we got stuck. I think the whole group consensus was to oblige her for a few minutes. First it was how we needed to join [...] So, everyone goes through cycles of up and down. I think I’m coming out of a “down” cycle, especially with my new job. I love it still, and always have since I started in January (Not a huge tenure, but almost enough to go through a full year cycle at work). My other [...] I would like to preface the following hilarious email with the statement that I absolutely LOVE my job. Possibly more than I have ever liked a job. That being said, I found this email a couple of weeks back and thought that it was a bit disturbing. Although it’s really nice to not smell new [...] So, I’ve been silent over the wires for like a week or so. I hereby present my two good reasons for silence: Reason 1: I’ve been working 14′s, and that always sucks.
